INCIDENT SUMMARY
Excavation for a new pipeline at an unmanned gas station revealed existing contamination in the soil near a previously installed pipeline. A PID meter
was used to identify this contamination, which was present in seven separate locations, each roughly 10 feet by 10 feet in size. This pipeline has no
known leaks.
Contaminated material has been excavated down to clean soil and is currently being stored in a pile on-site.
