I do still have some comments that I think should be relatively easy to address, and I will need to add in feedback from Scott. I had a couple questions as well, just for clarification. Is the permanganate that you're proposing to spread at the bottom of some excavations the reason for the injection permits, or is there some other injection that you might be considering that isn't specifically named or which may be used on contingency? I also was unsure if we're proposing non-petroleum confirmation samples, or if that's what you're planning for the groundwater monitoring to cover? Thanks, Leigh Blake Downey <bd@wasatch-environmental.com>Tue, Jul 1, 2025 at 3:02 PM To: Leigh Anderson <kanderson@utah.gov> Leigh, Yes, we typically apply for a UIC permit for putting permanganate in excavations. However, I was just (last week) told by DWQ (for another site by Porter Henze) that if we pour directly into an excavation, we no longer need to have a UIC permit. No other injections were planned. I planned to do the groundwater monitoring and not groundwater confirmation sampling. Thank you! Blake Downey, P.G.
