Hello John,
We have been able to meet internally to discuss the DDR site and the latest data collected from the site. Based on the
information provided, we still think it is important to evaluate the sub slab vapor conditions near the dry cleaner to
conclusively eliminate sub surface releases as a potential source of the TCE detected over the years.
To that end we would like to have a meeting with the current site applicant, the current site owner, and DEQ to discuss a
sampling approach that would include sampling the existing sub-slab probes, new vapor sampling points exterior and
west of the dry cleaner suite (in the sidewalk), and limited concurrent indoor air samples. In addition to the sampling, we
would like the current site owner to be present to discuss becoming a co-applicant since as the owner they will need to
allow recording of the certificate of completion on the property title and would receive some benefit from the certificate. A
meeting and discussion of this point will hopefully keep this from being an obstacle later when working on finalizing the
certificate.
Will you find some available dates that work for the applicant and current property owner and let me know so we can
schedule a time for this meeting? Please let me know if you have any questions or want to talk about this in more detail.

Currently, I am awaiting feedback from my sampling staff and the lab (ALS), so I can share cost estimates w/Chris
R. Thereafter, I will prepare a Proposed Work Plan (PWP) for Chris’ review/comments, and then we will send you a
final PWP version, etc. I simply want to make sure that we are in agreement on the conceptual approach, first.

Hello Joe – I just received the below email from the new Owner rep. Kristine assoc. w/The Shops at Ft. Union.

During the past 3 weeks, I have tried repeatedly to receive their permission to sample this week…….however, as a
result of the new Owner rep. being out of town, and her not being able to secure site access from all tenants ---- we are
going to have to postpone these investigative efforts.

We had requested that we install the new sub-slab soil gas probe and collect air samples, tomorrow and Friday;
however, per below, we have been denied site access, temporarily. Stantec ordered the new probe/vapor pin and was
ready to proceed; however, we can re-group and wait until all site access has been authorized. We asked that we be
granted access as early as possible (7-8 AM), as many of the businesses don’t open until later, etc.

I will ask (and CC Site Centers’ Chris Reddersen) Kristine if she might continue her discussions w/each of the affected
tenants………and identify a later date (and times), when we might conduct the work, etc. As soon as we learn some
open dates, then Stantec can identify who might have availability to conduct the work, etc….and then apprise
you/DERR of the proposed dates. John

Hello Joe – as of this afternoon, a few minutes ago….we decided that Casey will collect all indoor air samples
