East Side Drainage Improvements
Dear Mr. Hansen:
To improve management of contact water in the East Side Drainage, EnergySolutions
requests approval to construct a new pumping facility located at the existing 1995/1997
Evaporation Pond Lift Station and an additional pipeline to the 2024 Evaporation Pond.
Enclosed are Engineering Drawings with the proposed improvements. This plan will
improve contact water management on the East Side of the facility by enabling transfer of
water between the 1997, 1995 and 2024 Pond via a pipeline network. This design also
addresses Condition Report #CR-2024-0068, which details action to prevent recurrence
of previously addressed issues at the 1995/1997 Evaporation Pond Lift Station (CD-
2024-024, DRC-2024-004571).
