Subject: Ground Water Quality Discharge Permit No. UGW450005 (GWQDP): Notification to
Place the Intermodal Unloading Facility (IUF) Back into Service
Dear Mr. Hansen:
EnergySolutions hereby notifies the Director of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation
Control (DWMRC) of our intent to resume operations at Clive’s Intermodal Unloading Facility
(IUF). The IUF was temporarily taken out of service on June 23, 2025, to perform the Annual
BAT Inspection and perform necessary repairs. These repairs were completed between June 23,
2025 and June 26, 2025. On June 26, 2025, representatives from DWMRC and EnergySolutions
conducted a joint inspection to assess the effectiveness of the repairs. EnergySolutions will return
the IUF to service on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
