NOTICE
An emergency hazardous waste permit (Number UT-008-2024) has been is-
sued to the University of Utah in Salt Lake County, Utah. The permit autho-
rizes the University of Utah to treat 20 containers of unstable, hazardous
waste of the following material: Tetrahydrofuran (2x1L, 1x500ml), Picric Acid
(1x1L, 1x470ml, 1x100ml), 4,4 Azobis (4-Cyanovaleric Acid) (1x25g), Borane
THF (2x100ml), Diethyl Azocarboxylate (1x25g), 2,2 Azobisisobutyronitrile
(1x100g), Benzoyl Peroxide (1x50g), Sodium Azide (1x500ml, 1x250ml,
1x113g, 2x100g, 1x25g), 2,4 Dinitrophenylhydrazine (1x100g,1x25g). The
material has been deemed unstable for transport and requires treatment
prior to shipment. Treatment will be conducted onsite by the Reactive Mate-
rials Division of Clean Harbors Environmental Services.
This Permit was effective March 18, 2024, and expires April 1, 2024. For fur-
