Project Information Professional Engineer Responsible for Design
PWS Name: Brigham City Water System Name: Brett M. Jones, P.E.
PWS ID: 2004 Registration No.: 5149637
Project Description: The Project's purpose is to replace an existing 36" concrete water line and a 36" steel irrigation line that run along the mountain side on the north side of the
canyon between Mantua and Brigham City. The existing pipes will be upsized to 42" HDPE pipes and buried in order to protect Brigham City's main water supply from becoming damaged due
to seizmic activity and rockfall events. The total length of the project is roughly 1.93 miles. Construction is expected to occur during fall, winter, and early spring months in order
to avoid months of peak water usage. The irrigation line is expected to remain intact during the first year of the project. Inner-city well pumping will increase during construction
to supply the water needs within the city, as the culinary water penstock line will be disconnected during construction. In order to complete the project with qualified expertise and
contractor input, the City has chosen to follow a CM/GC contracting process. Whitaker Construction was the selected construction manager / general contractor in March, 2024 after responding
to an RFP and has provided design input. The dates listed below reflect this contracting method, showing only expected start and end of construction dates. Phone No.:
