SITE/RESTROOM LAYOUT
GENERAL NOTES:
A.THE INVITED CONTRACTORS HAVE VISITED THE SITE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING BID AND SHALL REFER TO THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALL ITEMS NOT NOTED.
B.ALL SAFETY AND CLEANUP AT THE SITE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO PROVIDE RESTROOM AND TRASH DISPOSAL FACILITIES DURING THE PROJECT. ALL CONSTRUCTION WASTE SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE. POWER WILL NOT BE PROVIDED, BUT WATER CAN BE
TAKEN FROM THE SITE. HOWEVER, IF MORE WATER THAN A STANDARD TAP CAN PROVIDE IS REQUIRED DURING COMPACTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO PROVIDE WATER. ANY COSTS SHALL BE CONSIDERED BEFORE SUBMITTING A BID AND WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
CONTRACTOR.
C.ALL WORK SHOWN IN THE DRAWINGS RELATIVE TO THE FINAL CONDITION OF THE PROJECT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY AND UNLESS A LEGITIMATE SCOPE OF WORK CHANGE OR EXTREME UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS ARE ENCOUNTERED, THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO COMPLETE THE WORK
DETAILED..
D.ALL GRADING, SOILS, GRAVEL, DISPOSAL AND PRODUCTS NECESSARY FOR PROJECT COMPLETION SHALL BE INCLUDED IN BID ACCOUNTING FOR VARIOUS EXISTING CONDITIONS.
E.THE WASHINGTON COUNTY BUILDING DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND IT WAS AGREED THAT NO PERMIT WILL BE EXPECTED FOR THE BUILDING. HOWEVER, THE GEOTECHNICAL, CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL REQUIREMENTS WILL STILL BE MET AND SPECIAL INSPECTION AND MATERIALS TESTING WILL STILL BE
OCCURRING.
F.THE WATER SYSTEM PERMITTING WILL BE COORDINATED THROUGH BOWEN AND COLLINS.
G.THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO COORDINATE WITH LANDMARK TESTING FOR COMPACTION TESTING AND CONCRETE TESTING. THEIR SERVICES WILL BE UNDER SEPARATE CONTRACT BUT COORDINATION IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. RECORDS OF THE TESTS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO CDCE.
H.ALL CONCRETE SHALL BE MIX TYPE F AS DEFINED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE DELAY-SET ADDITIVES AS NECESSARY TO MEET THE SPECIFIED REQUIREMENTS WHILE ACCOUNTING FOR THE DISTANCE FROM THE BATCH PLANT. PROVIDE SEALER/HARDENER AT EACH CONCRETE SURFACE
PER THE SPECIFICATIONS.
I.ANY WATER/ELECTRICAL/SEWER LINES SHALL BE PROTECTED IN PLACE AND THOSE LINES INTERSECTED/DAMAGED DURING THE INSTALLATION OF NEW IMPLEMENTS SHALL EITHER BE SPLICED/REPAIRED OR MODIFIED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
J.CDCE SHALL APPROVE THE WORK AT THE FOLLOWING TIMES, BEFORE WORK CAN CONTINUE:
J.A.AT A PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING.
J.B.AT CHLORINATION BUILDING LOCATING AND SOLAR BASE/TOWER LOCATING.
J.C.AFTER FORM-WORK INSTALLATION AND BEFORE CONCRETE PLACEMENT AT EACH STAGE.
J.D.BOWEN AND COLLINS WILL BE PRESENT FOR THE PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING AND TO OBSERVE STARTUP, TRAINING AND COMMISSIONING.
J.E.AFTER ALL SYSTEMS ARE OPERATIONAL, TESTED AND THE SITE GRADING HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
K.ONLY APPROXIMATE WATERLINE LOCATIONS ARE AVAILABLE AND THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO INVESTIGATE AND COORDINATE WITH THE BOWEN COLLINS RECORD DRAWINGS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ACCOUNT FOR ADEQUATE PIPE AND FITTINGS TO ACCOMPLISH THE WORK
DETAILED.
L.THE FINAL LAYOUT FOR THE CHLORINATION BUILDING AND SOLAR TOWER SHALL BE COORDINATED AND LAID OUT TOGETHER WITH THE OWNER AND THE ENGINEER OF RECORD TO MINIMIZE THE NUMBER OF TREES REMOVED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A LASER, PAINT, STAKES AND TAPE AS NECESSARY FOR
THIS PROCESS.
M.ALL TREES/VEGETATION, ROCKS/DEBRIS ENCOUNTERED IN GAINING ACCESS TO THE SITE ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND SHALL BE EXCAVATED, GRADED, DISPOSED OF, AS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT.
N.ALL TREES LARGER THAN 3" IN DIAMETER THAT MUST BE FELLED, MOVED, CUT, ETC. SHALL BE CUT INTO 20" LENGTHS AND SHALL BE STOCKPILED (STACKED NEATLY) NEAR THE CLOSEST FIRE PIT IN A MANNER THAT DOES NOT IMPEDE TRAVEL, DRAINAGE OR WALKING FLOW AND DOES NOT POSE A FIRE RISK BASED ON
PROXIMITY TO THE EXISTING FIRE RINGS. ALL TREES/SHRUBS SMALLER THAN 3" SHALL BE HAULED OFF AND DISPOSED OF.
O.ANY TREES THAT MUST BE FELLED FOR PROJECT INSTALLATION MUST BE DISPOSED OF PER NOTE N.
P.ALL DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE AND HAULED OFF BY THE CONTRACTOR. NO DEBRIS SHALL BE LEFT IN AREAS OF CONSTRUCTION OR ON THE SITE. ANY EXISTING PILES OF DEBRIS THAT ARE CLEARLY OUT OF THE AREA OF WORK SHALL BE LEFT AND NO NEW MATERIALS SHALL BE ADDED TO THEM. ANY
EXISTING PILES HAVING DEBRIS ADDED TO THEM WILL BECOME THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND WILL HAVE TO BE HAULED OFF AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
Q.ALL AREAS SHALL BE LOCATED/GRADED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE DRAINAGE FROM THE BUILDING, AND ALL SOILS SHALL BE CLEANED AND RAKED, GRADED TO PROVIDE A PLEASING FINISH AT THE COMPLETION OF WORK.AS REQUIRED, ADDITIONAL SOILS FOR FINE GRADING MAY BE TAKEN FROM THE ADJACENT AREA.
AT THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT, THE SITE MUST BE CLEAN AND PLANAR AND OPERABLE FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE. ALL EDGES MUST BE BLENDED AND RAKED SMOOTH. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ACCOUNT FOR THE SPECIFIED FILL MATERIALS, ROAD BASE AND PEA GRAVEL TO ACCOMPLISH THE WORK.
R.THE TOP OF SLAB SHALL BE LOCATED AS SHOWN IN THE PLAN VIEW AND BUILDING SECTIONS.
S.ALL STUMPS WITHIN 30' OF THE RADIUS OF THE BUILDING SHALL BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF AND THE HOLES BACKFILLED.
T.AFTER ALL FINE GRADING AT DISTURBED AREAS HAS BEEN COMPACTED BACK INTO PLACE AND RAKED SMOOTH, SEED AND FERTILIZER SHALL BE PROVIDED AT THE FOLLOWING MIX AND RATE:
T.A.REMOVE ALL STICKS, STONES 2" IN DIAMETER AND LARGER AND REMOVE ALL OTHER DEBRIS DETRIMENTAL TO APPLICATION, OR GROWTH.

SCHEDULE NOTES/TIMELINE:
1.THE CONTRACTOR MUST BE PREPARED TO ENTER THE SITE AND START WORK ON MAY 1ST, 2024 AND MUST KEEP THEIR SCHEDULE/CAPACITY OPEN TO START WORK WITHIN THREE
BUSINESS DAYS OF BEING NOTIFIED THAT THE SITE IS ACCESSIBLE.
2.IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE CONTRACTOR WILL WORK CONTINUOUSLY AND AGGRESSIVELY TO MEET THE CONTRACTED TIMELINE AND HAVE THE BUILDING SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE
AND THE WATER SYSTEM OPERATIONAL STARTING THE FIRST WEEK THE SITE IS ACCESSIBLE TO ENSURE STATE COMPLIANCE AND SOON AS POSSIBLE AND AVOID THE NEED FOR
CAMPERS TO HAUL WATER.
3.THIS WILL PARTIALLY ACCOMPLISHED BY HAVING ALL SUBMITTALS IN AND APPROVED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF CONTRACT AWARD ALL ALL PARTS ORDERED AND IN THE CONTRACTOR'S
POSSESSION PRIOR TO START OF WORK.
UTAH DRINKING WATER REQUIREMENTS:
1.AN OPERATING PERMIT WILL BE OBTAINED FROM THE STATE OF UTAH AND THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO COMPLETE THE WORK PER SPECIFICATION AND DETAILS BEFORE
THE SYSTEM CAN BE CONSIDERED COMPLIANT.
EXCAVATION NOTES:
1.EXPLORATORY TEST HOLES HAVE BEEN MADE.
2.IN EACH LOCATION, THE SOILS WERE TIGHT, SLOW DIGGING, CONSISTING OF TIGHT SOIL/CLAYS AND IN SOME CASES SOME SHALE. THE SHALE WAS EASILY BROKEN UP AND DUG
THROUGH.
3.THE TEST HOLE WORK WAS PERFORMED WITH A MINI-EXCAVATOR AND DIGGING SHOULD BE POSSIBLE WITH ANY TYPICAL SIZE BACKHOE (IN GOOD WORKING ORDER) OR EXCAVATOR
OF EQUAL OR LARGER SIZE. (A TYPICAL SIZE BACKHOE WOULD INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: JOHN DEER 310, CASE 580, FORD NEW HOLLAND B95 WITH 14'
MINIMUM EXCAVATION CAPACITY AND 90 HP MIN.)
