Exception Granted: R309-550-7 | The water line for the new Village development must cross beneath the sewer line and three sewer laterals to maintain frost depth requirements. Exception Granted: R309-550-7 | Our understanding of the project is existing water lines and sanitary sewer lines are being replaced. Due to the existing depth of the sanitary sewer to maintain gravity flow and meet UDOT roadway and frost depth requirements, the new water line must cross beneath the sanitary sewer in two locations. The new water lines will be sleeved in steel casings with spacers and end caps. The casings will be centered, perpendicular, at 10-feet on each side of the sanitary sewer crossing. Groundwater is not expected to be encountered during installation of the pipes. Crossing #1 – The new 12-inch diameter PVC (C900 SDR18) water line will cross below the existing 24- inch diameter PVC sanitary sewer line at approximately survey location 5+91 with approximately 18- inches of vertical separation. The 12-inch diameter water line will be sleeved with and 18-inch diameter steel casing. Crossing #2 – the new 8-inch diameter PVC (C900 SDR18) water line will cross below the new 15-inch diameter PVC (SDR35) sanitary survey at approximately survey location 10+00 with approximately 18-inches of vertical separation.
