Comments The inspection was in response to complaints from nearby residents
regarding odors and flies. Whey and dairy byproducts are not adequately
being land applied, but are being dumped in localized areas of the farm
creating strong odors and harboring insects. A significant amount of flies
were observed and strong odors were present. The facility was secured by
a locked gate and no land applications took place at the time of the
inspection. Land applications take place twice a week by a 3rd party
contractor and soils are disked once a week by CARNE I. Disking of the
soils in some areas did not appear to be occurring.
