Comments This is an unpermitted facility receiving asphalt, green waste, clean fill, vac truck
waste and concrete. The business sells crushed concrete, crushed asphalt, mulch,
and top soil. Composting is not performed and compost is not sold. The facility lacks
complete fencing and an entrance gate. A list of prohibited waste is missing from the
entrance sign. A drainage bisects the property. No controls are in place to prevent
runoff on and run off. Vac truck liquids are released down an earthen slope causing
erosion channels in the slope. Liquids are collected in an unlined bermed area at the
toe of the slope. The berm is approximately 15-20 feet from a known waterway
(creek). The owner indicated they plan to implement a soil sampling program and
will sample bi-weekly. The owner was unfamiliar with the Park City Soil Ordinance
map and the superfund site map and did not know to ask customers the origin of the
soil he received. The asphalt pile and rotomill pile were sitting directly on the ground
with no impermeable layer between the ground and pile to prevent leaching.
