SUMMARY:
DERR arrived on-site and met with the Environmental Professional for Geosyntec. The purpose
of the visit was to oversee the implementation of the Remedial Action Plan. When the DERR
arrived, the contractor was working to remove the last foundation in the northwest corner of the
site, and placing the concrete directly into the waiting trucks. DERR observed Geosyntec screen
the soils beneath the foundation with a PID, including the darker soils, with no hits registered on
the PID. All other foundations have been removed and all shallow soil impacts have also been
removed. The subsurface excavation at the northeast corner of the site near MW-3 had also been
excavated.
The last remaining area to be removed is the concrete pad and nearby pavement used to store the
hydraulic fluid and other objects for EnviroCare. Geosyntec has reached out to EnviroCare to get
the ETA on when these will be removed from the site.
