SUMMARY:
DERR arrived on-site and met the Environmental Professional for Geosyntec. The purpose of the
visit was to oversee the last remaining shallow soil area that needed to be excavated due to one hit
of lead above the Residential RSL. This area, designated B-14, is situated in the western part of
the site. All sidewall samples from this location were below cleanup levels, requiring only one
additional bottom confirmation sample after further excavation. An additional foot and a half of
soil was removed before collecting this sample.
All other areas at the Site have been remediated, and trenches have been backfilled with existing
shallow soil at the Site (previous confirmation samples reporting constituent levels below cleanup
levels). Hydraulic fluid has also been removed from the Site by EnviroCare. Dust control
measures, including soil wetting, trackout minimization, and the use of tarp-covered trucks, were
consistently implemented. All work was being done in accordance with the RAP.
