A few follow-up thoughts: 1. We appreciate the directional spray to mitigate dust at the point of excavation. I understand there is a water truck dedicated to each excavation. Additionally, thanks for keeping the haul roads wet and dust down. I appreciate how dry the conditions are actually. Dust suppression is critical. I did not observe dust migrating beyond the property boundaries during the visit. 2. I did not detect any significant odors during the site visit. 3. Please ensure track out is managed at the site entrance. 4. I observed the beginnings of the tie into the northeast corner of the Bonneville pile. The slope looked promising and I look forward to seeing this progress. 5. I did not detect any significant odors by the WAIV unit and suggested that your team gather baseline readings from this area as soon as possible with the on-site field meters. Please keep tabs of the total volume of leachate transported to the ponds so we can gauge the effectiveness of the evaporative unit. 6. I inquired about the bird wires over the leachate pond. Per Section 4.3.1.2 of the RAP, we will evaluate this area and the effectiveness of the wires to deter birds from the ponds. I did not observe any birds in the ponds yesterday. 7. We did discuss wildlife access controls around the open excavations with leachate. Please refer to section 4.3.1.2. Finally, please continue to review David's checklist that we discussed during our meeting on June 10, 2025 and ensure the items are implemented. He may be present tomorrow. We look forward to hearing more about the effectiveness of the daily cover tarps noted in Section 5.2.7. We were pleased to see the PFAS soil results.
