The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for Gross Alpha Particle Activity is 15 pCi/L. As a result of this, this source is now subject to increased monitoring in accordance with R309-205-7(b)(iv). Compliance with the Gross Alpha Particle Activity MCL will be determined by the Running Annual Average (RAA) of the samples collected at the Lincoln Culinary Well 1 (WS007). If at any point the RAA for Gross Alpha Particle Activity is greater than 15 pCi/L, a MCL violation will be issued, and public notice will be required. The Lincoln Culinary Well 1 (WS007) is now required to be sampled each calendar quarter that the facility is running for Radium 226, Radium-228, Gross Alpha Particle Activity, and Combined Uranium.
