Re:Request to Approve New Burn Ash Cell at NGSC Promontory Class Hub Landfill
Dear Mr.Hansen:
Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is submitting this request for approval to
commence use of a new cell excavated this year at the M-136 Industrial Waste Landfill
located within NGSC Promontory’s thermal treatment area.The cell will be used
exclusively for non-hazardous waste ash and related debris generated onsite.The new
cell is approximately 30’x 60’and 20’deep.Northrop Grumman anticipates the new
cell will be needed for disposal operations this summer (2025).
Enclosed is a drawing of the M-336 landfill site.The location of the new cell is
highlighted in yellow on the plan drawing.A photograph of the new cell is provided
for reference.
