NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT
on the
U.S. MAGNESIUM CLASS IIIbLANDFILL PERMIT
The Director of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) is considering the approval of a Permit Renewal (Permit) for U.S. Magnesium Class IIIbLandfill located
at 12819 N. Rowley Road, Skull Valley in Tooele County. The facility is owned and operated by U.S. Magnesium.The permit application was reviewed and determined to be complete and in
compliance with Utah Administrative Code R315-301 through R315-322. The Permit allows the U.S. Magnesium Class IIIb Landfill to operate for ten years after it is approved. The Director
of the Division is currently seeking public comments on this DRAFT Permit.
A 45-day public comment period to receive comments on the Permit will commence on [ start date] and end at 5:00 p.m. on [ enddate].

Under Utah Code Section 19-1-301.5 a person who wishes to challenge a Permit Order may only raise an issue or argument during an adjudicatory proceeding that was raised during the public
comment period and was supported with sufficient information or documentation to enable the director to fully consider the substance and significance of the issue.
