I think that sounds good and covers everything for now. I'll make a note here for future inspections to confirm the status of this generator engine to ensure compliance with the Approval Order. While the generator remains on-site, I will advise them to consider its removal. Currently, no lockout devices are installed, however if they opt to retain the generator, I will recommend them adding a lockout mechanism. I'll also recommend adding clear signage to indicate its inoperable status and documenng these measures in the maintenance records. Let me know if you require addional details or specific acons to verify compliance. I'll make sure to pass this informaon along. Has this generator engine been removed from the source location? If not, are there plans to remove it or permanently lock it out so it cannot be used? Was it ever used after the new Approval Order was issued? It would probably be best for Hawley Rock to remove this engine from their Approval Order at some point in the future when modifying the AO for other purposes (adding new equipment, increasing production limits, etc.) but, if it's not in 5/23/25, 9:32 AM State of Utah Mail - Hawley Rock https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ik=36f4379b4d&view=pt&search=all&permmsgid=msg-a:r3114453573269354344&dsqt=1&simpl=msg-a:r311445357…1/4 REVIEWED Initials: CG Date: 5-23-25 Compliance Status: II.A.26 Engine Status Correspondence File # 12066 (B1) use and will not be used going forward, then it's probably alright for now. They've been on the fence the past few months but unmately decided to exclude it. I'm not sure what the path forward is regarding this? Does this noficaon to you suffice? Or do we need to modify their permit? Jared did not have any other notes regarding the inspection. The only open issue is the stack test. Your previous email indicated testing was being scheduled for February. What is the status of that planned stack test? For reference, all stack tests require notification to the Utah Division of Air Quality at least 30 days prior to the test. The pretest protocol for the test needs to be submitted via the online portal at https://deq.utah.gov/air- quality/stationary-source-compliance and choosing the "Submit Minor Stack Test Protocol/Report" tab in the middle of the page. Results are to be submitted within 60 days of testing using the same process. Thanks and please let me know if you have any additional questions.
