Description:Project Manager's Notes Corr. Code/Section:7 General Correspondence & Misc Dates:Sent Requested Required Received/Apprvd 05/20/2025 Comments:Mark Crim, PM: Working with PST Compliance staff member Laura Perdue to obtain information about the site. Ms. Perdue was on inspection rounds in the Uintah Basin and I sent her PDF photos of the site, and indicated that I was not having success in reaching a contact person at Badlands. Ms. Perdue performed an unannounced visit to the site and met with Badlands contact Jake Mayo. Mr. Mayo was compliant and wanted to upgrade the facility AST system as Ms. Perdue suggested. Ms. Perdue observed that the AST is on skids and that an underground piping run fed a diesel dispenser, making it a DERR regulated AST system. Mr. Mayo wants to close out the underground piping and convert to an above ground delivery system. Ms. Perdue will assist Badlands in its AST closure paperwork and work with me to obtain soil samples to satisfy the suspected release noted in Release file OMZ. It was observed that there was some soil staining in and about the dispenser area, but not gross contamination. Will await Ms. Perdue's field notes, contact information, and pictures to evaluate sending Badlands a compliance letter and the initiation of DERR billable hours.
