HomeMy WebLinkAboutDDW-2025-00464303063 June 2022 Compliance Notes – SEP 8/3/22 Operator initially filled out monthly report incorrectly and put raw water turbidity values for the CFE turbidity values, causing an apparent failure of treatment. Sarah Page reached out to the operator (Travis McBride), who was generally confused about the reporting process. He confirmed that the turbidity values were incorrect, but he had formatted the SD cards for the turbidimeters, erasing all of the data from June 2022. This raw data was not saved anywhere else. He had two notes in his phone (saved as a PDF in this folder) demonstrating that the turbidities recorded 6/24 and 6/25 at sample point #2 (CFE) were 0.1 NTU. These notes only have one data point recorded, although there are two reported turbidity values for both dates. However, these notes corroborate the operator’s story, so a failure to treat violation was not assessed. The operator did not calibrate the turbidimeter in the month of June, since he was not aware of this requirement. A violation will be assessed for failure to calibrate the turbidimeter. [Vio 10] In addition, a deficiency will be assessed for the data retention failure. Sarah will work with the operator to set up a system that works to save the data appropriately and maintain records as required per rule.
