As long as this generator engine does not exceed 100 hours per calendar year for non-emergency use (such as this scheduled PM) then Adobe will be in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations associated with the engine. More information on that is available as part of 40 CFR 60 Subpart JJJJ with the specific reference found in 40 CFR 60.4211(f)(2) located here - https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-40/part-60/subpart-IIII#p-60.4211(f)(2) Thanks and let us know if you have any additional questions. Below is a summary of the PM work performed and the duration of the desired operation of the on site 1500KW Caterpillar diesel generator intended for emergency usage. Every three to five years Adobe elects to perform an electrical PM on Normal Utility and Emergency Power Equipment. This PM is scheduled for 5/10 from 5:30 am and we anticipate the work being completed by 7PM the same day. The purpose of the PM is the following. Cleaning of all specified electrical equipment Breaker testing equipment to test all normal utility breakers 400 amp or larger and all emergency breakers 250 amp and larger Re-torque all electrical connections according to manufacturer’s specification: MCC’s, Panels, breaker terminations, bus and lug connections, wire terminations, service disconnects, VFD’s, fuse holders and transformer connections. We currently operate under the attached small source exemption and want to make sure we do not operate outside of this. We have confirmed the load to be under the 20% threshold (300,000w) you said we should be OK to operate at. We will have a rental generator for this PM but can you please reply to confirm we are OK to use the onsite emergency generator under current regulations for a similar duration PM?
