Subject: Reduced Disinfection Byproduct Monitoring for Park City Water System, UTAH22011
This letter is to inform you that the Utah Division of Drinking Water has changed the disinfection
byproduct (DBP) sampling schedule for Park City Water System because the water system now qualifies
for reduced DBP monitoring based on sample results from the previous year.
DBP Monitoring Requirements
The water system is now required to collect two (2) DBP samples per year. Each sample must be a dual
sample set of total trihalomethanes (TTHMs) and haloacetic acids (HAA5). The next DBP samples must be
collected during the July 1 - September 30, 2025, monitoring period. The specific sites that need to be
monitored can be found on the system’s WaterLink page under the water monitoring section.
If you have any questions, please contact Luke Treutel at (385) 258-6084 or ltreutel@utah.gov.
Sincerely,
Mark Berger
