Paul Wright <pwright@utah.gov>Tue, Mar 11, 2025 at 11:38 AM To: Todd Olsen <tolsen@bowencollins.com>, Cody Nielson <cnielson@bowencollins.com> Cc: tony@wcwcd.gov Cody and Todd, I have reviewed the plans for the Quail Creek WTP 10 MG Tank B Project and I have the following comments: 1) The plans need to be finalized for construcon and Stamped by a licensed PE andsigned. Submit these finalized plans. 2) Overflow/Drain detail 2 on Sheet C-13 is only required to have a #4 screen, #14 isnot required. It can be installed that way, just ensure that the required overflow hasbeen designed with the finer #14 screen in mind. 3) All pipe penetraons through tank walls or roof should have seep rings. They areclearer on smaller pipe penetraons. The larger pipes, like the tank overflow on Sheet S-07 is an example but other larger pipes, like the inlet and outlet as well, should havethem and I just want to ensure that has been included in design. 4) Any access hatches need to be raised up a minimum of 18 inches above earthencover. Detail B on Sheet S-08 shows 2’ 6” above the tank lid, but there is no dimensionabove the cover on this sheet. This should also apply to the overflow access hatch onSheet S-07. Detail S (4446), Sheet GS-07 appears to show that 18” dimension, I just wantto make sure this is clear on other details that apply, whether it is for the main accesshatch or the overflow access hatch. Also, for the Hatch Detail S (4446) on Sheet GS-07, I also want to ensure there is a gasketshowing as required between the lid and the frame. I don’t see that called out anywhere (1) Height. There shall be at least one opening above the level of the overflow, which shall beframed at least 4 inches above the surface of the roof at the opening; or if on a buriedtank, shall be elevated at least 18 inches above any earthen cover over the tank Let me know if you have any questions.
