Subject: Radioactive Material License UT 2300249; Shipment Notification of Hanford Test Bed Initiative Demonstration Waste Dear Mr. Hansen:
In support of your interest in monitoring and inspecting incoming Test Bed Initiative (TBI) waste from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hanford Site in Richland, Washington (Generator Site Access Permit #2412000510),1 EnergySolutions is pleased to inform you that the TBI shipment is scheduled to depart from Hanford, Washington, on April 23, 2025, with an anticipated arrival at EnergySolutions’ Clive facility on April 25,
2025. The shipment consists of Hanford tank waste that has undergone pretreatment through filtration and ion exchange. It has been certified Class A waste and will be transported in three Container Products Corporation LQ-375 process totes (Type A containers) for
stabilization treatment at Clive, in accordance with the national Land Disposal Restriction treatment variance (89 FR 35008, May 1, 2024). This waste has been assigned the new profile number 9530-01. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this TBI shipment.
