Dear Mr. Schon:
In a letter dated April 2, 2025 (DRC-2025-001127, CD-2025-062), EnergySolutions re-submitted a request for proposed modifications to Appendix C of the Ground Water Quality Discharge
Permit UGW450005 (Permit) to include the Collection Lysimeter Operation,Maintenance, and Closure Plan,in addition to a redline strikeout revision of Appendix C,CQA Plan for Collection
Lysimeter Construction. After review, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) requests the following items be addressed:
Appendix C Part 2.3 Sampling of Free Liquids –Please provide justification for the change in Radiological sample volume.
CQA Plan Attachments – Please provide updatedform numbers for the referenced reports in the Attachments to the modified CQA Plan.
