Schon Groundwater and Environmental Program Manager EnergySolutions, LLC 299 South Main Street, Suite 1700 Salt Lake City, UT 84111 RE:Request for Information, 2024 Annual Clive Facility Meteorological Monitoring ReportGround Water Quality Discharge Permit No. UGW450005 Dear Mr. Schon: On February 24, 2025, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (the Division) received the 2024 Annual Meteorological Monitoring Report (the Report) (CD-2025-039, DRC-2025-000649) in accordance with Part 1.F.11, Part 1.H.10, and Appendix G of the Groundwater Quality Discharge Permit (the Permit). During the Division’s review of the 2024 Annual Meteorological Monitoring Report, it was noted that the raw data for long-term pan evaporation at the Clive site was absent (Figure 4.3 of Trinity Consultants’ report). Estimations of these values are not adequate for the Division’s final review of the Report. As a result, the Division is requesting that data for long-term pan evaporation be submitted before the review of the 2024 Annual Meteorological Monitoring Report can be completed. As per the 2023 Annual Meteorological Monitoring Report Groundwater Module 9 Inspection closeout letter (DRC-2024-006928), the Division requests that future reports prepared by Trinity Consultants and supplied by EnergySolutions include all raw data used in the development of graphs, tables, and figures presented in the final report. If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Andrew Zehr at (385) 515-5189.
