This letter is notification that the Tesoro Refining and Marketing Company, LLC., will be de-
inventorying and degassing Tank 321. This notification is being provided in accordance with the
requirements of Utah SIP Section IX. H. I l. g. vi. Tank degassing operations are anticipated to begin
during the week of January 6, 2025. Following degassing operations, the tank will undergo
maintenance activities.
Tank degassing details required by Utah SIP Section IX. H. I 1. g. vi are as follows:
Start date and Time: Week of January 6,2025
Tank owner, address, tank location, and applicable tank permit numbers: Tesoro
Refining and Marketing Company, LLC, 474 West 900 North, Salt Lake City, UT,
84103, refinery tank farm, Permit number DAQE-AN103350075-18.
Degassing operator's name, contact person, telephone number: HPC Industrial, Eric
Johnson, [phone].
Tank capacity, volume of space to be degassed, and materials stored: tank capacity is
approximately 1,000,000 gallons, volume to be degassed with roof on high legs is
approximately 333,000 gallons, material stored is light cat naphtha.
Description of vapor control device: Thermal oxidizer.
