Box 308 350 South 300 West Moroni, Utah 84646 (435) 436-8211 4/15/2025 To: Chad Gilgen Department of Air Quality Utah Department of Environmental Quality Re: Notification of 35.7 MMBtu/hr Boiler offline status and plans - DAQE-AN159570002-22 This letter is provided following the request of Daniel Riddle, via email on 4/14/2025, as official notification that our Indeck boiler, listed as 35.7 MMBtu/hr on section II.A.2 of approval order DAQE-AN159570002-22 was taken offline in November 2024 due to issues with the function of the boiler and has remained offline since that time. Following taking the boiler offline, we have been working with contract staff to review and boiler and determine appropriate next steps to determine correction for the functionality issues. As of now we estimate that the boiler will remain offline for approximately six to twelve months while we work through the correction and functionality issues. Due to the offline status, we will be unable to perform the stack test in September of this year as denoted in section II.B.2.d of the approval order. Once the boiler is fully repaired and returned to our approval order, we plan to conduct the stack test as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at lfreeman@norbest.com or (435) 436- 8211 ext. 13028.
