At this time, the application information appears to be complete, and I will soon begin processing the permit for renewal as appropriate. However, should questions arise I will be in contact to resolve any outstanding issues or information. Your completed permit application was submitted ahead of the 180-day requirement. Therefore, in the event that a renewal permit has not been issued prior to the expiration date contained in your existing permit, there will be an automatic continuation of that permit per Section R317-8-3.1 of the Utah Administrative Code. DWQ will now proceed to draft and issue the permit. The draft permit will contain effluent limitations and other provisions reflecting the requirements of the State and Federal water pollution control regulations. DWQ will then publish notice of the intent to issue the permit and allow thirty (30) days for public comment. A final permit will be issued sometime after the close of the public notice and comment period. A draft permit will be sent to you, via e-mail, for review before the public notice and comment period.Thank you for your efforts to help protect Utah’s water quality. If you have any questions, please contact me at jstudenka@utah.govor at (385) 602-7303. I look forward to working with you as your permit facilitator.Sincerely,Jeff Studenka, Environmental ScientistUPDES Individual Permit SectionJAS/cjh Cc: Via Email Amy Maybach, US EPA R8Curtis Page, DEQ District EngineerOrion Rogers, SE Utah District Health Department Amanda Daniels, DOGM Coal Program Manager amandajdaniels@utah.gov DWQ-2025-00
