Comments Waste grease is a prohibited waste per Permit Condition I.C.5.
Intentional burning of pallets or other solid waste is prohibited per Permit
Condition III.C.1. and Utah Admin. Code R315-303-4(2)(b). The only waste
that is allowed to be burned after its approval and inclusion in the Permit is
yard waste. Wood pallets are not included in the definition of “yard waste”
per Utah Admin. Code R315-301-2(91).
The landfill is not approved to accept septage as it is not listed as an
“acceptable waste” in the permit.
A Permit Modification Request is needed for the Director (DWMRC) to
consider the disposal of septage and waste grease. A Permit Modification
Request is needed to burn yard waste, if the facility desires to do so.
Working face is getting large and needs to be reduced/covered per permit
condition III.D.1
