In the request, it was stated that Glen Canyon NRA had worked with a contractor to complete the installation of the permitted generator engines. However, the cost associated with the construction and installation has been significantly increased due to the time lapse since the original quote years ago. Glen Canyon NRA is actively exploring opportunities for additional funding to address the increased cost. Glen Canyon NRA will not be able to complete the project by the end of 18 months after the issuance of the AO. Therefore, Glen Canyon NRA requests an additional 18-month extension to April 16, 2027, to allow for the project’s completion. The DAQ has approved the extension as requested above. Glen Canyon NRA shall submit a document to update on the status of the project prior to April 16, 2027. The DAQ will evaluate this information to determine whether reasonable progress has been made. At that time, the DAQ may take one of the following courses of action based on the information received: 1. Approve the request for additional time to complete the project with no additional requirements; 2. Require a new Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analysis and/or a new Notice of Intent (NOI) based on the results of the new BACT analysis, or 3. Revoke the AO. 195 North 1950 West • Salt Lake City, UT Mailing Address: P.O. Box 144820 • Salt Lake City, UT 84114-4820 Telephone (801) 536-4000 • Fax (801) 536-4099 • T.D.D.
