The quotes are attached. The verbal quote from National EWP (Arizona based company) was as follows: $4000/day drilling, assumed four days, with no vacuum truck for hand clearing. Thank you very much for your submittal. It appeared that dissolved petroleum contamination in MW-1 and MW-4 had rebounded. Therefore, it is not the right time to close Release ICY. There is still remaining contamination at the site that needs to be addressed. As you know, the extent of the dissolved plume at the northern site boundary has not been defined. A few years ago, you proposed a work plan to install three monitoring wells at the north boundary, but could not obtain an access agreement from the property owner. According to your sampling report, Mr. Leland Black now owns the former Chevron Station and the parcel located north of the station, and both parcels are operated as one gas station. As a matter of fact, there is a new dispenser island near your proposed well locations at the north boundary. Therefore, if you request installing three monitoring wells near the north boundary now, I think Mr. Black may agree with the additional investigation. There is a work plan & budget (WP&B) attached with your sampling report for additional groundwater sampling. Please send me a new, independent WP&B for additional investigation and GW sampling.
