Deq submit <dwmrcsubmit@utah.gov> Recycled Earth Recent French Drain and Soil Sample Results 1 message Rasmuson, Anna <Anna.Rasmuson@tetratech.com>Wed, May 10, 2023 at 10:49 AM To: "Wadman, Heather" <HeatherWadman@ogdencity.com>, "bspeer@utah.gov" <bspeer@utah.gov>, "dwmrcsubmit@utah.gov" <dwmrcsubmit@utah.gov> Cc: "Wilson, DavidWilson" <DavidWilson.Wilson@tetratech.com>, "Cahoon, Tyler R." <tyler.cahoon@dentons.com>, "Cahoon, Brad R." <brad.cahoon@dentons.com>, David Rawson <david@recycledearth.com> Hello, Attached are the detection summary tables for the recent french drain and soil samples collected from Recycled Earth on April 20, 2023 as well as a figure showing the sample locations. All soil results were below RSLs except for the following: Arsenic concentrations were elevated for all samples and but below the established background concentration of 15 mg/kg except for FD-1 at the south end of the french drain, which showed a concentration of 151 mg/kg. Hexavalent chromium was elevated for sample FD-5 at the north end of the french drain and the field duplicate for this location. All water results were below the UDEQ Groundwater Quality Standards and the UDEQ Groundwater Initial Screening Level except for arsenic. We have not yet established a background concentration for arsenic in groundwater at the site but hope to establish background levels from the subsurface investigation work. Please let us know if you have any questions.
