Hi Anna,
Ogden is okay with the changes in drilling methods and well locations you are proposing. However, since the groundwater monitoring
wells were a requirement by the state, state approval will be required.

I’m writing to follow up on my previous email. Can you please advise whether direct push methods will be acceptable for the
subsurface investigation at Recycled Earth?
Additionally, we would like to request moving the location of MW-5 due to access issues and utilities. The proposed location is shown
on the attached figure and is approximately 40 feet to the northwest of the original location. This location fulfills the original purpose of
MW-5 to assess whether groundwater impacts may have migrated to the downgradient end of the site and can be accessed from
Midland Drive. Please let us know if we may proceed with this location.

Subject: Recycled Earth Subsurface Investigation
Hello,
Tetra Tech is continuing the site characterization activities at the Recycled Earth south property. The next step will be the subsurface
investigation that consists of soil borings and groundwater monitoring well installations. The proposed drilling dates for this work are
May 5 and 6, 2023, with utility clearance being performed a few days prior to drilling. We are providing this advance notice via this
correspondence as requested by the agencies.
Tetra Tech is also providing this correspondence to present a minor revision to the Recycled Earth Site Characterization Plan SOP
number 30. The drilling company, E.T. Technologies, is urging that we use direct-push drilling methods instead of hollow-stem auger
drilling methods for the site property because the wells will be shallow (i.e., less than 20 feet deep). Attached is the revised SOP
describing direct push drilling methods that have been used on similar monitoring well installations.
