Hi Allison,
The BSA have decided that they do want the en re 40 acre property to be sampled to show no lead is present. How
many addi onal grab samples would you like us to take not on the ranges? I was thinking 10 or so along the range
boundary to assure that no lead has migrated off of the range but I wanted to double check if you wanted any other
loca ons.
Thank you,

Hi Trevor,
Sounds good, thank you for letting me know.
Since we are sticking with the 41.6 acres (as listed in the Voluntary Cleanup Agreement), additional samples would need
to be representative of the entire site (41.6 acres), not just the firing range. This would typically involve taking more
samples outside of just the range boundaries. As I don't have a specific answer for you in terms of the exact number of
samples to collect or where, we would typically want to have the site covered enough where we can be confident that
other locations at the site are, or are not, potentially impacted.
Some things to consider, and things that we would also look for in the SCW, include:
1. What is the exact VCP boundary (on a map), and
2. What other activities took place on this site, apart from the firing range?
I think your proposed sampling along the range boundaries sounds fine. Of course, we would want to make a final
decision on that after seeing the plan as a whole. But I also wanted to make sure to pass along the need to also have
representative samples for the rest of the 41.6 acres.

Sounds good!
Did you have any guidance on the limits for the addi onal PAH? They weren't listed on the EPA tables at all.

Hi Trevor,
Yes, I've included the residential and industrial RSLs for those PAHs in an excel sheet below. I also highlighted where the
PAHs are in that RSL table. Some of the names vary slightly because of the table format. Also, three analytes do not have
an RSL established.
Please note, this table is subject to change throughout the project period. EPA releases updated guidance twice a year
and sometimes we see these screening levels change. We'll just have to make sure that our screening levels are current.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.
Have a good night!
Allison

Thanks! I was losing my mind looking for those three so I'm glad I wasn't actually going crazy. I should have both
documents complete next week for your review.
