Subject: Moab Under Canvas Seasonal Startup Procedure Form Mix-Up
To: sfederico@utah.gov <sfederico@utah.gov>
Hello Sitara,
On 02/26/2025, Moab Under Canvas sent in an Inves ga ve Water Sample to Southeast Utah Health
Department. This first test came back as posi ve for coliform (I'm also now no cing this first test was ran as
Rou ne even though it was marked as inves ga ve).
Since Moab Under Canvas opened to the public on 03/06/2025, I quickly took another water sample and
dropped it off on 03/03/2025. Again, I marked it as inves ga ve and it was run as a rou ne test. Luckily this
me the water sample results were absent for coliform, so I went online and filled out the seasonal start up
procedure form with the ID for the lab results of the passing test.
I recently checked our water system on waterlink.utah.gov and no ced that for February
we are marked as posi ve for coliform on the rou ne test. It seems it is pulling from our first water sample
on 02/26 instead of the second water sample on 03/03. If we could get that changed to the correct water
sample that passed it would be much appreciated.
A ached are the two water samples in which I have been referencing. If you need anything else from me,
please let me know.
Thanks,
Julian Gonzalez
