Public notice of modification to the Timpanogos Special Service District (TSSD) Rules and Regulations for the Approved POTW Pretreatment Program (Program) delegated by the Division of
Water Quality.

PURPOSE OF PUBLIC NOTICE

The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) is soliciting public comments regarding modifications to the TSSD Rules and Regulations. These changes are considered a substantial modification of
the Program implemented by TSSD. DWQ reviewed the changes and found the changes met the requirements of R317-8-8 and 40 CFR 403. Once the public notice period and comment process are
completed, DWQ intends to formally approve the modifications for implementing the rules and regulations by TSSD.

BACKGROUND
TSSD has modified the rules and regulations based on the needs of the Program. The changes could impact Industrial Users discharging to the Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW), owned
and operated by TSSD and Industrial Users discharging into the satellite POTWs discharging into the TSSD POTW.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
Public comments are invited before the close of business on May 15, 2025. Written public comments can be submitted to Jennifer Strong Robinson, UPDES Individual Permitting Section,
Utah Division of Water Quality, PO Box 144870, Salt Lake City, Utah 84114-4870, or by email at [e-mail].

A public hearing can be requested, although it must be filed during the comment period, ending on May 15, 2025. A request for a public hearing must be filed per 40 CFR 403.11. After
considering public comments, the DWQ Director may approve, revise or abandon the revisions to the TSSD Rules and Regulations. The director will not publish a notice of decision provided
the TSSD Rules and Regulations are approved without any changes, and no comments are received during the public comment period.
