Subject: Notice of Decreased Monitoring for Mayfield Town Water System; UTAH20006 Garrick Wilden:
This letter serves as notification that quarterly monitoring for radionuclides is no longer required
at the Lower Spring (identified as WS002). A radionuclide sample is now due once every nine years. The next radionuclide sample from the Lower Spring (WS002) is due sometime between January
1, 2029, and December 31, 2037.
Following the issuance of an operating permit, Mayfield Town Water System has collected a sufficient amount of radionuclide samples from the Lower Spring (WS002) to qualify for reduced monitoring under R309-205.
The updated monitoring requirements for the Lower Spring (WS002) are given below. An updated monitoring schedule can be viewed any time at waterlink.utah.gov under the water monitoring section.

PFAS Collect (1) sample every 5-7 months during a 12 month period for a total of 2 samples by April 26, 2027. 40 CFR 141 (2024) PFAS Information and Resources The EPA rule for PFAS requires that either method 533 or 537.1 version 2 are used for testing.
Please ensure that the chosen laboratory processes PFAS samples using one of these methods.
