Director March 18, 2025 Marjalee Smith Highlands Water Company Inc 5880 N Highland Dr Mountain Green, UT 84050 Subject: Notice of Increased Monitoring for Highlands Water Company, UTAH15005 Marjalee Smith: This letter serves as notification that the routine monitoring requirements for Highlands Water Company have increased following the incorporation of Mountain Green Well 1 (identified as WS018). Pursuant to R309-205 all active sources supplying water to a community water system shall be monitored for six chemical contaminants at varying frequencies. The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) understands that Highlands Water Company is considering drilling a replacement well for the Mountain Green Well 1 (WS018). Should this happen, please contact the Cameron Draney of this office at cdraney@utah.gov or (385) 271-7039. The routine monitoring requirements for the Mountain Green Well 1 (WS018) are given below and are available to view anytime on waterlink.utah.gov under the water monitoring section. Please ensure that the chosen laboratory processes PFAS samples using one of these methods. Additionally, the Division has resources to assist water systems in completing the PFAS initial monitoring requirements.
