Director March 27, 2025 Tony Johnson USU Forestry Field Camp Spring 594 S 400 E River Heights, UT 84321 Subject: Notice of Routine Source Monitoring Requirements for USU Forestry Field Camp Spring; UTAH03125 Tony Johnson: This letter serves as notification of the routine source monitoring requirements for the USU Forestry Field Camp Spring. Pursuant to R309-205 and R309-200 transient public water systems shall routinely monitor each source of drinking water for nitrate and sulfate. The Little Bear Spring (identified as WS001) shall be sampled annually for nitrate and sulfate every three years. The next nitrate sample is due sometime between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. The next sulfate sample is due sometime between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2028. The updated monitoring requirements for the Little Bear Spring (WS001) are given below. An updated monitoring schedule can be viewed any time at waterlink.utah.gov under the water monitoring section.
