This configuration qualifies the Thatcher-Penrose and N Blind Spring Wells to be sampled for contaminants defined in R309-205 collectively from the outflow of the tank. Samples shall be pulled during periods when both sources are actively supplying water to the distribution system. A sampling location which represents the Thatcher-Penrose (WS001) and N Blind Spring Well (WS002) wells has been created under the name “Sampling Station – 01 02” (identified as SS001). Please label all samples collected from the location as SS001 on the facility and sample point ID columns. The updated monitoring requirements for the Sampling Station – 01 02 (SS001) are given below. An updated monitoring schedule can be viewed any time at waterlink.utah.gov under the Water Monitoring section. Please ensure that the chosen laboratory processes PFAS samples using one of these methods. Additionally, the Division has resources to assist water systems in completing the PFAS initial monitoring requirements. For more information on the resources the division can provide related to PFAS initial monitoring please visit ddwpfas.utah.gov. For PFAS related questions, please contact John Steffan at jtsteffan@utah.gov or (385) 499-3926. Thank you for your efforts in maintaining a clean drinking water system. Please contact David Kruse at (385)-566-7789 or dbkruse@utah.gov for questions regarding the source monitoring and reporting requirements for your water system.
