The Division sent an "Update Not Submitted" letter on October 19, 2023, requesting an updated DWSP plan for Daniel Well #1. On February 6, 2025, Division staff requested additional information for the provided updates. We have completed our review of the updated DWSP plan; however, before we can concur with the updated plan, the requirements listed below must be addressed and the plan resubmitted for review. Requirements The updated DWSP plan submitted to the Division on June 14, 2023, was labeled for the Fisher (West) Spring and Thacker (East) Spring, however, an initial review found that some figures and information pertain specifically to Daniel Well #1. As a result, the plan seems to contain inconsistent details and cannot be accurately reviewed. Please review and resubmit a corrected version. An updated DWSP plan is required for Fisher (West) Spring (WS001), Thacker (East) Spring (WS002), and Daniel Well #1 (WS003). You may combine these three sources into a single updated plan, but ensure each source is addressed clearly. If any management programs are in place, please ensure you provide documentation showing that the system has implemented these in the last update cycle. According to R309-600-7(2), each public water system shall correct any deficiencies in a disapproved DWSP plan and resubmit it to the Division within 90 days of the disapproval date. A dormant deficiency (SP04 ACTIVE SOURCE LACKS APPROVED UPDATES TO DWSP PLAN) has been added to the Division’s database to serve as a tracking tool and reminder. If you have any questions about these points, please contact Jennifer Yee at (385) 515-1501 or ddwips@utah.gov.If you cannot address the deficiencies within 90 days, please request a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) at requestcap.utah.gov. You must request the CAP before the deficiencies have been assessed. If you have any questions about requesting a CAP, please contact Brandi Smith at brandismith@utah.gov.Please contact Noah Zorsky, P.G., at (385) 707-7317 or via email at nzorsky@utah.gov if you have questions or concerns about the review of your DWSP plan.
