Box 430 Wendover, Utah 84083 Subject:Plan Approval, Pilot Peak Water Line Phase 6 Project (DS001); Wendover City Water System, System #23008, File #19775 Dear Glenn Wadsworth:The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received the plans and specifications for theproposed Pilot Peak Water Line Phase 6 Project from your consultant, Eric Neil and Bowen,Collins & Associates on February 26, 2025. This project has met the conditions for receiving a plan approval.Our understanding of the project is the replacement of 993 linear feet of 14-inch diameter ductileiron pipeline (DIP) with new, 14-inch diameter Class 54 ductile iron pipe with bonded joints andsacrificial anodes/test stations in the Salt Flat Playa located north of Wendover, Utah. We have completed our review of the plans and specifications, stamped and signed by Eric Neil, P.E., dated February 25, 2025, and find they basically comply with the applicable portions of Utah’s Administrative Rules for Public Drinking Water Systems in R309. On this basis, the plans for Pilot Peak Water Line Phase 6 Projectare hereby approved. This approval pertains to construction only. An Operating Permit must be obtained from the Director before Pilot Peak Water Line Phase 6 Project may be put in service. A checklist outlining the items required for operating permit issuance is enclosed for your information.Approvals or permits from the local authority or the county may be necessary before beginning construction of this project. As the project proceeds, notice of any changes in the approved design, as well as any change affecting the quantity or quality of the delivered water, must be submitted to the Division. We may also conduct interim and final inspections of this project. Please notify us when actual construction begins so that these inspections can be scheduled. This approval must be renewed if construction has not begun or if substantial equipment has not been ordered within one year of the date of this letter.
