HomeMy WebLinkAboutDERR-2024-005492VCP #129 Site Summary for The Paxton Applicant - Paxton Project LLC Location- The Site is located at 203 to 225 West Paxton Avenue, Salt Lake City and encompasses 0.71- acres. The Subject Property consists of five structures and was used for towing services and/or auto repair services for more than 80 years. This property is directly south of the RETEP site (which was NFRAP’d on SEMS). Planned Site Use- Residential Multifamily and Commercial Retail Environmental Concern(s) ● Petroleum and chlorinated solvents detected in groundwater and soil across the Site. Two previous subsurface investigations were unable to determine specific sources of the contaminants or groundwater flow direction. ● Vapor Intrusion is a concern on the property. ● Petroleum contaminated soil and groundwater surrounding an abandoned surface hydraulic post lift. ● Surface soil staining with Oil and Grease and DRO. ● Possible impacts under the old buildings. ● Chlorinated solvents potentially migrating on the Site from the RETEP facility. There are no other known sources of impact on the The Paxton property. The site has met the eligibility criteria for the VCP.
