Director January 14, 2025 Vicki Peterson Chris Trading Post 7345 E 900 S Huntsville, UT 84317 Subject: Notice of Increased Monitoring Requirements for Chris Trading Post, UTAH29048 Vicki Peterson: According to the Division of Drinking Water’s (the Division) records, a nitrate sample was collected from the Chris Well (identified as WS001) and the Jackson Fork Inn Well (WS002) on December 16, 2024. The results of the analysis show that nitrate was detected at 5.2 mg/L. Pursuant to R309-205-4(b), Chris Trading Post is now required to collect a nitrate sample at both the Chris Well (WS001) and the Jackson Fork Inn Well (WS002) each calendar quarter that the source supplies water to the distribution system. This requirement may be reduced following 4 quarters of nitrate sampling. The updated monitoring requirements for these sources are given below. An updated monitoring schedule can be viewed any time at waterlink.utah.gov under the water monitoring section.
