A large amount of wind-blown litter caught along the fencing and along the roads were observed. Gaps in fencing were observed to allow for cattle to graze within the landfill boundary. The asbestos pit is no longer in use. Adequate signage and fencing near the asbestos pit was not observed. The facility accepts grease products 1-2 times per year. Grease has not been accepted since January 2023. The C&D cell contained mainly MSW and was not receiving adequate cover. The dead animal pit consists of two long trenches. Several bones are uncovered. The dead animals in the photo were disposed of earlier in the day. The pit also contains waste other than dead animals.
