Glen,
I reviewed the drilling specifications for the Sky Ranch Well. I just want to clarify that either Alternative 1 or Alternative 2
Bid Schedules will be added to the Base Schedule for the entire drilling and casing, with gravel pack?
Paul

Paul,
Yes, we intend to include the Base Bid and Alternative #2. I did an alternate because in the past the glass
beads have been way expensive and we wanted to see what the actual cost difference was. We got pretty
good bids back and the cost difference was not nearly what we had estimated when we considered it on
past projects. With the research we have done on the glass beads, although they are more expensive up
front we are thinking we will spend less in development of the well. Grimshaw used them on the ski lake
well he drilled recently after a year of trying to develop it and had pretty good results.
Also, FYI we have addressed the comments on the PER, I just need to review it and we will get it re-
submitted to Noah with a response.
Thanks,

Glen,
Okay, thanks. I just want to make sure that it also meets that 95% siliceous material of the DDW rules and I assume it is
ANSI?NSF 61 certified. I think I came across the Johnson screen version of it and it said it was, but I want to ensure that
an "approved equal" also meets that requirement.

Paul,
It is my understanding that it does, we based our spec on the Johnson Screen material. I will verify and
send you the spec, and we will make sure that any approved equal meets the same requirements.

Paul,
Per our conversation, attached is the specification for the glass beads we propose. I think it meets the
intent of the rule for the 90% siliceous material, but am not super up to speed on my chemistry. It does
meet ANSI/NSF 61 certification requirements. I’ll let you know if we get more information from the Johnson
Screens engineers.
