Paul Wright" <pwright@utah.gov>, Ken Richins <kenr@hurricane.utah.gov> Paul, Answers to your comments/questions: Booster Pump and Vault 1) You have pressure transducers for the booster pump. Will these pressure transducers have the ability to be read right at the station or just on SCADA? The rule specifies needing pressure gauges, but if there is the ability to read pressures at the vault, then that would probably suffice. We will have a display in the pump control / electrical panel at the booster station site and it will also be able to be read remotely by SCADA. 2) The pump station rule requires that the pump station be "secure". The design only calls for a manhole lid into the vault. Will there be the ability to lock that lid to make this pump vault secure and limit access? At a minimum, this should be done, especially since this booster pump is temporary and so you don't have to go to the expense of a more elaborate lid. Good catch, I didn’t even think about that. We have added a detail to secure the manhole lid with angle and 1” rod that can be padlocked, see attached Sheet BPD1. Let me know if this will work. Tank 1) I couldn't see in the plans where the outlet and inlet are labeled. I can probably guess it from the configuration and valving, but I just want to be sure this is clear in the plans. In addition, there should be a detail that shows the outlet that has the ability to completely drain the tank. Again, I could not see a detail showing this for the outlet. We have updated the detail to show a removable spool, see attached Sheet T19 and Sheet T16. I have also added flow direction for clarification, see piping detail A on the attached updated Sheet T16. Also, I noticed that somehow we had a valve on the emergency drain line. We updated the expanded detail on Sheet T1 to remove that valve so the emergency drain is unobstructed. Let me know if this addressed your questions and if there is anything else I can provide. I appreciate your review and time to meet with me on these projects. Thanks, Glen Glen E.
