Dear Mr. Nolan:
On January 9, 2025, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control received Weir Minerals, Salt Lake Rubber Engineering’s requestfor a 30-day extension to complete and provide
documentation for the remaining corrective actionsoutlined in the Compliance Advisory Letter No. 2409116 (DSHW-2024-008053).
From the request, the open action items are:
Providing additional information on the waste determination for paint booth filters where CHEMLOK 213 is used;
Completing DOT training for all employees signing manifests; and
Providing an updated facility contingency plan and quick reference guide.
The extension requestis approved. Please provide the requested corrective action documentation no later than March 1, 2025.
