This report is in response to requested documentation for a diesel release in I-80 WB, MP 130,
on 10/27/25 as per Utah Admin Code R315-263-33.

On October 27th, a semi trailer lost a front tire, rolled onto its left side, and caught fire. It leaked
approximately 100 gallons of diesel onto the roadway and into the drainage system. There were
two occupants of the semi trailer who were taken to the hospital. Their injuries are unknown.

Because there was a threat of diesel exiting UDOT’s drainage system, GrayMar was called and
they cleaned out UDOT’s drainage system. They revisited the site on November 1st to excavate
contaminated soils. Fifteen cubic yards of petroleum contaminated soil and debris were hauled
off. No diesel reached the surrounding stream or detention basins.
